The period of 2008-09 proved to be a difficult trial for Ukraine’s statehood. A systemic economic crisis, coupled with a crisis of security system, has become a stimulus for changing a geopolitical situation on the European continent. A research conducted by the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies (CACDS) revealed a number of adverse tendencies that might threaten Ukraine.
