90% OF POLISH WORRY THEIR FELLOW CITIZENS MAY DIE IN IRAQI MISSION

90% of Polish people worry their fellow citizens may perish in the stabilization mission in Iraq. This comes from the public survey conducted on the order of Rzeczpospolita newspaper it published on July 9. The majority of the questioned believes, should such situation take place, Poland is to immediately recall its servicemen from the Persian Gulf. When asked whether they think there will be representatives of their country perished in Iraq, 70% of respondents gave affirmative answer. Only 3% of the surveyed believe the mission of the Polish military is safe.

On July 8 Bronislaw Kwiatkowski, deputy commander of the division, told the Polish radio that 2,300 Polish soldiers and officers that will enter an over 9,000-member of the international division will arrive in Iraq by August 10. Rotation of Polish servicemen will be held half a year past their service in the stabilization zone.
